ST. ANTHONY’S HIGH SCHOOL

In 1968, more than fifty years ago, the All-American Basketball Camp began in Smithtown, New York at St. Anthony’s High School.

It is with great pleasure that camp director, Gus Alfieri has accepted a generous invitation to bring his camp back to where it all began with the Franciscan Brothers.

The school’s magnificent campus is now located in suburban Melville, has a gymnasium with ten baskets, and is the school where Alfieri coached state championship teams that often earned national attention.

St. Anthony’s High School has maintained its academic excellence as well as a national sports reputation. Coach Alfieri also has a warm spot in his heart for the school that honored him by placing his name upon its gymnasium floor, and welcomed him back!

the green vale school

Nearly a century ago, The Green Vale School was created by parents who believed in providing a quality education that would stand the test of time, hence the School's motto Optima Durant: “The Best Endures”.

Now, in 2022, the Best Basketball Day camp in the United States is making it’s way to our new home at The Green Vale School in Old Brookville. This majestic campus, home to Long Island’s finest private school, has some of the most beautiful scenery the north shore has to offer. Located less than 10 minutes from Syosset, Manhasset and Jericho, The Green Vale School has a large, modern, fully air conditioned dual full-court gymnasium and plenty of outdoor courts to make it a terrific space for our camp.

Beginning on July 5th, 2022, two Long Island institutions will come together to provide the finest basketball camp atmosphere.

TESTIMONIALS

“Congratulations to Gus, Ron and all of the coaches at All American...my favorite camp as a child and a place where my daughter's game and confidence grew. Thank you for all that you have done over the last 50 years. Truly, an amazing camp led by coaches that care!

--Jennifer Conklin Camacho (former camper and mom of a former camper)

Although I no longer play, this outstanding camp helped me develop my fundamentals at a critical time in my life when I really needed it before I developed bad habits. I was cut from my Jr. High team in 1974-75 and I begged my parents to let me go to the camp that following summer, I went and continued to work hard and I made the freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams. Never forgot the experience. Years of basketball knowledge in that camp and a good quality learning environment.

--Mike Hodgson (former camper)

I attended in summer of 1972 with many of my CYO teammates from St. Kilian’s in Farmingdale. My first exposure to many great basketball drills, including the Mikan drill. Everyone big man learned it.
